‘With the Flow’ #2
Double exposure photos from 35mm analog film_ 13 x 18cm
The overlays reflect significant moments and geographic points in my life. They reveal my urge to narrow the gaps between my Korean and United States identities. While jarring, the photos help me cope with my inability to be in two places at once.
My photos are double exposures of 35mm analog film. The overlays reflect two moments in time and span a range of locations from warm waters and palm trees to the cold mountains of my home land. This reflects not just my travels but the urge I have to narrow the gaps that have grown increasingly wider since having to leave the United States back to Korea.
The photos may have a jarring view but they help me cope with my inability to be in two places at once.

Bridge; Past and Future
Double exposure photos from 35mm analog film print on Archival Pigment Print (2024) _ 114×76 cm
I captured two different timelines in one image using double exposure, analog film. The results are very interesting and unexpected. I chose analog film format to show the invisible yet present energy.
The bridge leads us from a nature-filled past to the human-made present. What do we hope to meet across that bridge in the future?
